A Himalayan Curriculum Lands in Ubud's Wellness Quarter
Samadhi Yoga Ashram, a school founded in Rishikesh that has run residential teacher training since 2011, now operates a second campus in Peliatan, just outside central Ubud, at Jl. Raya Andong No. 32. The 200-hour program it delivers there carries the same Yoga Alliance USA accreditation as its India campus, and new cohorts begin on the first of every month, with intakes confirmed through at least September 2027.
The details were first reported by openPR.
What the 20-Day Program Covers
The course runs for 20 days and is structured as a full ashram immersion. The daily schedule opens at 5:00 AM with self-led meditation and moves through Classical Ashtanga practice, pranayama, anatomy and alignment sessions, yoga philosophy, Hatha Yoga, and a self-mastery session, closing at 9:00 PM. Every Thursday is observed as a Silence Day; Sundays are reserved for rest and optional excursions.
The asana syllabus covers both Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa traditions, including the full Ashtanga primary series. Pranayama instruction introduces techniques such as Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Nadi Shodhana, Ujjayi, and Bhramari, grounded in classical theory of prana and the subtle body. Philosophy sessions draw from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita. Additional modules cover mantra chanting, mudras, bandhas, yoga nidra, yoga therapy, and teaching methodology.
Faculty at the Bali campus includes the ashram's founder Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi, Maa Haripriya Ji teaching traditional Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Yansa Ji leading asana and meditation, Dr. Devyani Ji as an Ayurveda doctor and diet consultant, and Yogi Shakti Ji specialising in Naturopathy and Yogic Science.
Fees, Inclusions, and Scholarship Seats
Pricing is tiered by accommodation type. A six-bed shared room for female students is priced at USD 1,299; a private room is USD 2,299. Both rates include an air-conditioned room, daily meals during scheduled meal times, weekend excursions, a yoga cleansing kit, airport pickup from Denpasar, an Ayurveda consultation, a trauma sound healing session, a cooking class, a naturopathy treatment including a mud bath, Kirtan Night, Movie Night, and access to recorded course materials. Dinner is not provided on most evenings; students are directed to Ubud's established vegan and health-focused dining scene.
A scholarship structure offers eight seats at USD 899 covering accommodation and food only, and one fully sponsored seat is reserved for Indonesian students.
Students who complete the 200-hour program can continue with 300-hour or 500-hour training at either the Bali or Rishikesh campus, or through the ashram's online options.
Why It Matters for Hosts
Ubud already draws a consistent flow of wellness travelers, but a structured 20-day residential program creates a specific guest profile worth understanding: students arrive with fixed dates, a demanding early-morning schedule, and a strong preference for plant-based food. Guesthouses, villas, and warung operators within walking distance of Jl. Raya Andong can position themselves directly to this cohort by communicating clearly about quiet hours, early breakfast availability, and vegan menu options. Because dinner is not included in the course on most evenings, nearby restaurants have a reliable nightly opportunity. Hosts who build relationships with training programs rather than waiting for walk-in traffic tend to fill rooms during shoulder periods when leisure bookings thin out.
