How the booking model works

Longer rentals carry lower per-day rates. Payment options include international cards, PayPal, QRIS, and Indonesian bank transfer, with either full payment upfront or a 30% deposit at booking.
The passport problem, addressed directly
The most consistent complaint in traveler forums about Bali scooter rental is the practice of holding a passport as a deposit. AyoRental replaces this with a refundable cash hold of Rp 2,500,000, released automatically within 24 hours of a clean return. An optional Protection Plus plan waives the hold entirely. Travel documents stay with the traveler throughout.
To handle the other chronic dispute, scratch damage at return, every handover is documented with an eight-point timestamped photo set visible to both parties. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before pickup, with a half refund available up to 24 hours out.
Licensing transparency
One detail that sets the platform apart from much of the rental industry is its approach to licensing. Riding legally in Bali requires either a home license paired with an International Driving Permit carrying a motorcycle class, or an Indonesian SIM C.
